Payroll Specialist – Workday Required
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist to support high-volume, multi-state payroll operations. This position is responsible for processing, auditing, reconciling, and validating biweekly and semimonthly payroll for 5,000+ employees. The ideal candidate must have direct, hands-on Workday payroll-processing experience, strong knowledge of payroll compliance, and the ability to help guide daily payroll activities in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly Pay Range and Other Compensation: $28–$30 per hour

- Process, audit, reconcile, and validate multi-state payroll in Workday.
- Ensure accurate wages, benefits, deductions, garnishments, and taxes.
- Verify biweekly and semimonthly payrolls for accuracy and completion.
- Guide Payroll Specialists and monitor daily payroll checklists.
- Coordinate payroll activities in the Payroll Director's absence.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, tax notices, and system issues.
- Review new-hire and address changes for state and local tax accuracy.
- Perform internal audits and maintain payroll controls.
- Partner with HR, Finance, auditors, government agencies, and internal teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
- Direct Workday payroll-processing experience is required.
- At least four years of high-volume, multi-state payroll experience.
- Experience processing payroll for 5,000 or more employees.
- Experience with ADP Smart Compliance.
- Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, compliance, and general-ledger impact.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict payroll deadlines.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- CPP or FPC certification preferred.
- Workday Time and Attendance experience preferred.
