Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will take ownership of core close activities, support accurate financial reporting, and collaborate with partners across the organization to address accounting matters effectively. This position offers the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen controls, and contribute to planning and analysis initiatives that support business performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assigned month-end close tasks, ensuring financial activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
• Prepare and review journal entries, maintain general ledger accuracy, and complete account reconciliations to support reliable reporting.
• Coordinate with teams across the business to resolve accounting issues, reinforce policy compliance, and elevate significant concerns when needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and help implement solutions that increase reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activity to confirm transactions are properly recorded and regularly reconciled.
• Support the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses by providing accurate accounting data and insights.
• Evaluate existing controls and recommend enhancements that reduce risk and strengthen the overall control environment.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure completeness and accuracy of cash-related records.
