We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Loan Operations Coordinator to support the financial administration of our real estate lending portfolio. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating loan servicing activities, monitoring loan performance, and ensuring the integrity of accounting data across the lending lifecycle.
The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, exceptional organizational skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Track principal balances, interest accruals, fees, reserves, and payoffs
- Reconcile loan transactions and bank accounts
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Maintain accurate loan accounting records and supporting documentation
- Process invoices and vendor payments
- Monitor borrower payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Record receipts and allocate payments appropriately
- Assist with cash management and account reconciliations
- Maintain loan servicing schedules and reporting calendars
- Monitor maturity dates, insurance renewals, tax payments, and reserve balances
- Identify discrepancies or exceptions requiring management review
- Maintain electronic filing systems and accounting records
- Coordinate with borrowers, lenders, vendors, and internal departments
- Improve accounting workflows and operational processes
- Provide general administrative support to the executive team as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience
- Experience with real estate lending, banking, mortgage servicing, or commercial finance is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Quick Books or other accounting software
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential financial information

Compensation- Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 depending on experience
