Tax Manager – Corporate Tax

• Provide tax, accounting, and advisory services to middle market corporate clients
• Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, and prepared or compiled financial statements
• Review and analyze accounting records and reporting with clients
• Provide analysis and consultation and discuss accounting and business matters with clients
• Deliver responsive, timely, professional, and accurate client service
• Lead and plan client engagements
• Evaluate client service and implementation processes and procedures
• Implement efficiencies and identify internal control issues
• Recommend business and process improvements based on client operations, processes, and objectives
• Manage and build client relationships and resolve client issues
• Assist team leaders in researching and providing additional client services
• Delegate and oversee work by setting goals, providing resources, removing obstacles, and scheduling deadlines
• Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws
• Assist with engagement staffing, billings and collections, and client profitability targets
• Network and build relationships internally, externally, with clients, and with the community
• Participate in professional development and firm-wide learning programs
• Support team member growth and development through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy

• 4-year degree required
• CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent required
• Five (5) years of experience providing corporate tax compliance, accounting and advisory services
• Experience with TCL industries (Technology, Communication, Life Sciences) preferred
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to lead and supervise others and provide exceptional client service
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current regarding applicable strategies
• Appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment
• Sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely completion of projects
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred

Demonstrates expertise in tax compliance, accounting, and advisory services for corporate clients, with a strong focus on client relationship management and process improvement. Proven ability to lead teams, mentor associates, and deliver high-quality client service while maintaining knowledge of relevant tax laws and practices.
