Title: Tax Manager

Company: Global Investment Management Platform

Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 base + bonus (DOE)

Location: San Diego (Hybrid, 2 days onsite).

Overview: This role sits on a lean, high-impact tax team supporting complex investment structures across multiple strategies. You'll own mutual tax compliance while partnering closely with accounting, legal, and investment teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Oversee end‑to‑end tax compliance for investment entities, including review of federal and state filings and investor reporting
• Partner with external advisors on domestic and international tax matters
• Support investor‑facing teams on tax‑related inquiries
• Manage withholding tax processes, including Forms 1042/1042‑S and related filings
• Review complex informational filings (e.g., 5471, 8621, 8865) tied to entity structures
• Assist with tax reporting tied to entity formations, restructures, and dissolutions
• Manage tax notices and coordinate responses with internal teams and external providers
• Help drive process improvements and support internal tax operations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of tax experience, ideally within asset management or fund environments
• Public accounting background (Big 4 or similar) strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of partnership taxation and investment structures
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

• CPA or JD
• Exposure to alternative investments (private credit, private equity, or similar)
• Experience working cross‑functionally with accounting, legal, and external advisors
