Staff Accountant – Full Time (Onsite | San Diego, CA)

Compensation: $60,000–$80,000 depending on experience

A growing eCommerce company is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong inventory accounting experience to join their in-house finance team. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting the day-to-day accounting functions in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

• Invoice Management: Create and process invoices using Quick Books; maintain organized and timely billing procedures.
• Inventory Accounting: Track and reconcile inventory for financial reporting; investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors; ensure accurate cost of goods sold (CoGS).
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage AP and AR functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing; match payments and deposits to appropriate transactions.
• Card & Transaction Oversight: Reconcile and document transactions for virtual and physical company cards.
• Operations: Utilize  to streamline accounts payable workflow and maintain accurate records.
• Collections: Follow up on outstanding AR, notify leadership of overdue accounts, and support collection processes.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with internal teams to resolve cost-related discrepancies and ensure financial data accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in inventory accounting
• 2–3 years in a general accounting or similar role
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Proficient in Quick Books, , and Excel or Google Sheets
• eCommerce or retail accounting experience preferred
