AR / Accounting Assistant - Temp-to-Hire

Robert Half is seeking an AR / Accounting Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity with an established manufacturing company. This position is a great fit for someone with 1-2 years of accounting experience who is looking to continue developing their skills in a hands-on accounting environment.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with day-to-day accounts receivable and accounting functions

+ Process customer invoices, payments, and cash receipts

+ Post and apply payments to customer accounts

+ Assist with account reconciliations and research outstanding balances

+ Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due invoices

+ Assist with billing and resolving customer account discrepancies

+ Enter and maintain accounting data accurately within SAP

+ Support month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and reporting

+ Assist with general ledger and other accounting tasks as needed

+ Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding billing and payment questions

+ Maintain organized and accurate accounting records

Requirements

Requirements

+ 1-2 years of accounting, accounts receivable, or related experience

+ Understanding of basic accounting principles

+

Experience with invoicing, cash applications, reconciliations, or collections preferred

+ SAP experience a plus or other large ERP

+ Strong Excel skills

+ High attention to detail and accuracy

+ Good communication and organizational skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

+ Manufacturing or distribution experience is a plus
