Interim International Senior Accountant

Our client, a global financial technology company, is seeking an Interim International Senior Accountant to support accounting operations across multiple international entities. Location

This role is remote and is expected to last approximately six months.

• Manage operational accounting for multiple international entities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Execute month-end and quarter-end close activities while maintaining accurate documentation and effective controls
• Support payroll accounting, including payroll entries, employee-related accruals, payroll taxes, clearing accounts, and equity compensation allocations
• Prepare intercompany invoices, reconciliations, eliminations, settlements, and related transfer-pricing calculations
• Support international statutory audits by preparing work papers, schedules, and responses to auditor requests
• Review balance sheet accounts and financial results to identify key drivers, trends, risks, and unusual activity
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to resolve accounting matters and meet reporting deadlines
• Improve accounting processes, documentation, systems usage, and workflows to increase efficiency and scalability

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional accounting certification preferred
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Experience with international or multi-entity accounting, including intercompany transactions, payroll accounting, transfer pricing, or statutory audits
• Proficiency with ERP and close-management systems, along with strong Excel skills
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and improve accounting processes
