Accounting & Finance, Tax Manager, Accounting Manager
There's a particular phone call you only get in San Diego. A client has a business on both sides of the border, an accountant in Tijuana who has done it one way for 20 years, and a question you can't answer by looking it up.
That's the senior manager seat here, and the band is $193k to $236k. Hybrid. Private client and owner managed business tax with a real cross border element, which is the thing San Diego has and Sacramento and Fresno don't.
Above the cross border work it's the normal shape of the job. Reviewing what the managers have signed off, running the relationships that matter most, and being in the planning conversations that happen long before anyone thinks about a return.
The honest part: cross border means your signature is on returns where the rules are less settled than you'd like. Some people find that the most interesting part of the year. If you'd rather everything were clean and domestic, this is the wrong seat and there are plenty of those about.
Why this firm- $193k to $236k, hybrid, in San Diego
