A growing organization in the San Diego, CA area is seeking an experienced Property Accountant for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong background in residential and commercial property accounting, CAM reconciliations, lease abstracts, payment posting, and journal entries.
The Property Accountant will join a professional team environment where accuracy, accountability, and collaboration are valued. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and complete CAM reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Post payments, process account adjustments, and maintain accurate tenant and property accounting records.
- Input journal entries and support month-end accounting activities.
- Review and interpret lease abstracts to ensure accurate billing and financial reporting.
- Support accounting functions for residential and commercial property portfolios.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams to research discrepancies and resolve account issues.
Direct hire opportunity.
Salary range: $70,000 to $75,000 per year.
Location:
San Diego, CA.
- Prepare CAM reconciliations and support property accounting close activities.
- Post payments, process account adjustments, and maintain accurate account records.
- Review lease abstracts and apply lease terms to accounting transactions.
- Enter journal entries and support financial reporting accuracy.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant property accounting experience required.
- Experience with lease abstracts required.
- Residential and commercial property accounting experience preferred for successful performance in the role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
- Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with property management and accounting teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple accounting priorities.
- Experience supporting both residential and commercial property accounting portfolios.
- Familiarity with CAM reconciliations, tenant billing, payment posting, and account adjustment processes.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative accounting team environment.
