Job Description
The Laboratory and Site Operations Associate (Contractor) supports the Technical Operations and Site Operations departments by handling day-to-day lab and warehouse logistics. This includes washing and sterilizing glassware, maintaining and stocking lab consumables and reagents, organizing lab and warehouse spaces, assisting with safety readiness, coordinating with equipment service vendors, and managing shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, supplies, mail, and inter-office mail across the company.
Responsibilities- Laboratory support: Gather, wash, sterilize, and redistribute lab glassware; maintain lab organization and safety readiness.
- Inventory management: Maintain stocks of lab consumables and reagents; receive, verify, log, and stock incoming inventory.
- Shipping and receiving: Ship, receive, store, and distribute materials, supplies, equipment, mail, and inter-office mail across the site.
- Site and facilities support: Provide alternate coverage for warehouse receiving during core hours and assist Site Operations/Facilities with site activities and events.
- Vendor coordination: Assist with scheduling and coordinating third-party equipment service providers.
- Lab backup tasks: Provide backup lab support (e.g., buffer preparation, aliquoting and labeling samples) as needed.
- Education/experience: High school diploma with 1–3 years relevant experience (or equivalent combination).
- Administrative skills: Proven ability to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and follow through reliably.
- Organization/detail: Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication/teamwork: Communicates effectively one-on-one and in groups; collaborates well with cross-functional teams.
- Inventory/lab exposure: Experience with inventory management and basic lab techniques/safety protocols is a plus.
