Requirements / QualificationsThe San Diego County Office of Education is looking to add to its Administrative level clerical substitute pool. Depending on your experience and training, your application may allow you to be eligible to substitute in the following positions:
- Administrative Assistant series ($26.16-$32.97/hr)- Typical qualifying background:
Two years of administrative assistant or secretarial support experience demonstrating the knowledge and abilities listed on the job description. Coursework in advanced secretarial, communications, business or a related field and supporting a director-level or higher role is desirable. - School Administrative Assistant I / Program Clerk (G44, $26.16/hr)- Typical qualifying background:
Two years of progressively responsible office/secretarial experience demonstrating the knowledge and abilities listed on the job description. In addition, formal training in secretarial procedures and skills is highly desirable.
Work experience involving using computers for recordkeeping or word processing is required.

It is important to note to become a substitute/limited-term employee, there will be a fingerprinting requirement that currently costs $77 (this is an up-front, out-of-pocket cost that must be paid in the form of a money order or cashier's check). In addition, if you apply and are selected for a permanent position at any point there would be an additional $77 cost (currently) for fingerprinting as a permanent employee (taken out of your first regular paycheck).
