We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Training Coordinator to join our team at our San Diego, CA facility. The Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking all Facilities-related training activities in the Facilities organization at General Atomics.

This role ensures that Facilities personnel meet required training and safety standards, manages new employee onboarding activities for the Facilities organization, maintains accurate training records, and serves as a key liaison between Facilities, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), and the Learn Center. The Training Coordinator also manages the Facilities training budget and supports onsite delivery of training events.

Training Administration & Compliance
  • Complete training proficiency verifications for Facilities employees.
  • Submit training verification paperwork to Learn Center for training credit.
  • Create and distribute the monthly Facilities training schedule.
  • Complete New Hire Checklist for Facilities personnel and request additions to new hire transcripts.
  • Partner with the Learn Center to update employee training transcripts as needed.
  • Partner with the Learn Center to troubleshoot and address system issues related to training assignments, completions, and reporting.
Facilities New Employee Onboarding
  • Submit onboarding request forms for new Facilities employees.
  • Request required devices such as laptops, cell phones, and iPads in coordination with IT and Facilities leadership.
  • Request system access and permissions needed for Facilities roles.
  • Request personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by role and work location.
  • Request and/or coordinate installation of required computer software.
  • Add new employees to relevant email distribution lists and SharePoint groups.
  • Add new hires to Facilities New Hire Orientation (NHO) attendance.
  • Request new hire memos and TV announcements in line with Facilities and site communication practices.
Reporting & Metrics
  • Distribute training-related reports, including:
    • Training Dashboard.
    • Monthly Safety Training KPI report.
    • Past due training report.
    • Look-ahead training reports.
    • Ad-hoc training reports as requested by management.
Training Delivery & Coordination
  • Facilitate instructor-led training sessions for Facilities personnel (e.g., safety, technical, and compliance training).
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, room reservations, and communication to participants.
  • Provide onsite support during training sessions, including:
    • Reserving conference rooms.
    • Requesting visitor badges.
    • Gathering and organizing training supplies and materials.
    • Supporting instructors and vendors during training events.
Stakeholder Partnerships & Liaison Duties
  • Facilitate a monthly partnership meeting with EH&S to review training needs, safety requirements, and upcoming initiatives.
  • Serve as primary liaison to EH&S for Facilities training-related topics.
  • Serve as primary liaison to the Learn Center regarding training content, assignments, system functionality, and reporting.
