Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Payroll-Prevailing Wage professional for a temp-to-hire opportunity in San Diego, CA. This full-time, in-person role is ideal for a payroll or administrative professional with experience supporting construction-related payroll processes, certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage compliance, and HR administrative functions.
This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative office environment with supportive leadership, steady weekday hours, and the potential to grow into a long-term role. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining compliance documentation, supporting internal teams, and helping improve cross-department communication.
Key Responsibilities- Review installer work tickets, time clock entries, project daily timesheets, payroll hours, and pay rates for accuracy.
- Run, review, and reconcile certified payroll reports using internal systems and builder compliance platforms.
- Enter payroll calculations and certified payroll data into platforms such as LCPTracker, DIR, eComply, Elations, and similar systems.
- Pull wage determinations from builder contracts and the DIR website to support prevailing wage compliance.
- Manage payroll records, documentation, and administrative information with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide HR administrative support, answer phones, perform general office tasks, and assist with miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned.

- Review payroll entries, installer time records, and project timesheets for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare, run, reconcile, and enter certified payroll reporting through internal and external systems.
- Support prevailing wage documentation by reviewing pay rates, wage determinations, and builder platform requirements.
- Provide administrative and HR support to management teams and office operations.
- Previous payroll experience is required.
- Certified payroll or prevailing wage payroll experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in administrative services or a related field is required.
- Excel experience is required, with 2 or more years preferred.
- Experience using Oracle, Outlook, Excel, and web-based platforms is helpful.
- Ability to manage records, maintain accurate documentation, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented work style with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to support cross-department collaboration.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Experience with certified payroll reporting in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with prevailing wage requirements, wage determinations, and DIR compliance.
- Experience using LCPTracker, DIR, eComply, Elations, or similar builder compliance platforms.
- Prior experience supporting payroll, HR administration, and general office operations in a fast-paced environment.
