Position: Administrative Support Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator I)

Position Summary

The School of Nursing at San Diego State University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Support Coordinator to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support administrative operations of the School of Nursing (SON) front office and serve as a primary resource for faculty, staff, students, and visitors; providing high-quality customer service while ensuring the efficient operation of the School's administrative office.

Work collaboratively with SON faculty and staff to support daily operations, coordinate special projects, and maintain continuity of administrative services.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Operational Support:

Coordinate administrative and student-support operations by maintaining program databases, student files, Canvas homerooms, communications, the School newsletter, and clinical tracking systems; supporting orientations, plans of study, academic-progress follow-up, evaluations, outreach, recruitment, events, accreditation activities, and report preparation; verifying and presenting institutional data; building collaborative relationships with university stakeholders; and managing student-worker schedules, assignments, and timesheets.

Graduate Program Support:

Support graduate-program administration with maintaining records of advising, counseling, and plans-of-study; coordinating admissions interviews, prospective-student meetings, information sessions, recruitment events, calendars, databases, and Canvas resources; assisting with development and maintenance of graduate programs and curricular updates; maintaining documentation for CCNE accreditation, BRN approval, and WASC; distributing End of Program evaluations; and manage student health-requirement documentation for clinical placements.

Position Information

This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
