Summary:
Qualcomm is seeking a Contracts Support Assistant to join its Legal team and provide high-quality administrative and operational support for contract intake, routing, approval, execution, and lifecycle management.
In this role, the Contracts Support Assistant will help maintain accurate contract records, support contract management systems, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and follow established legal, business, and policy requirements to ensure contract requests are handled timely, consistently, and professionally.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Review and triage incoming contract requests using established Legal team procedures, intake criteria, and contract administration guidelines.
- Coordinate approval, routing, and signature processes for agreements in collaboration with Legal, Finance, Sales, and other internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate contract data and records in contract management systems, including entering, updating, and validating information as directed.
- Support contract lifecycle administration by tracking request status, monitoring process steps, and helping ensure agreements are handled in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business teams on contract management system and contract lifecycle questions, escalating non-routine questions to senior team members as needed.
- Develop working knowledge of contract terms, approval requirements, and Qualcomm policies relevant to contract administration.
- Follow standard work processes, identify opportunities for basic process improvement, and remain open to new tools or methods that improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage assigned tasks, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision and timely follow-through.
- Works under close supervision while managing assigned contract administration tasks, deadlines, and follow-through within established procedures.
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of own work, with limited decision-making authority and escalation of non-routine issues to senior team members.
- Uses clear verbal and written communication to provide routine status updates, request information, and respond to basic contract process or system questions.
- Applies basic problem-solving skills to troubleshoot routine process, data, or system issues and support consistent use of contract administration tools and workflows.
This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA and is expected to comply with the company's onsite work policy.

Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Criminal Justice, Contract Management, or a related field; or
- Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, IP Certificate, or equivalent, and 2+ years of contract experience or related work experience; or
- High school diploma or equivalent, and 4+ years of contract experience or related work experience.
- 2-4+ years of contract experience.
- 1+ year of relevant IP experience.
