Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Business Development Representative for a mission-driven nonprofit organization focused on community engagement. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) and is located in Downtown San Diego, California.
POSITION OVERVIEW:The Business Development Representative will drive inbound and outbound sales activity to support the organization’s training programs. This role manages inbound inquiries, warm leads, and proactive outreach to high-value target accounts, ensuring prospects move efficiently through the sales pipeline.

- Generate leads for the organization’s training programs and services
- Respond promptly to inbound training inquiries and manage warm leads
- Conduct proactive outreach through cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling
- Secure qualified discovery meetings for executive leadership
- Maintain accurate CRM tracking and reporting of all sales activity
- Represent the organization professionally at conferences, webinars, and public events
- Bachelor's degree required
- Demonstrated sales experience with a track record of relationship building
- Self-directed with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience using CRM platforms
- Comfortable working in values-based, inclusive, and mission-driven environments
