Commercial Logistics Manager

Position Summary

Plan, direct, or coordinate transportation, storage, or distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.

• Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation, operations or production goals
• Perform onsite project manger duties between customer facility and crew
• Examine documents to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications
• Direct workers onsite in transportation or related services, such as moving or loading or unloading of materials or people, and mitigate any move issues.
• Audit moves to ensure adherence to contract specifications prior to billing
• Prepare WISE work order documentation specific to commercial project
• Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, collect signed documents, record details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
• Support warehouse safety and security programs and activities
• Review invoices, work orders or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods
• Based on project scope determine manpower and equipment requirements
• Support warehouse with receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials
• Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services, elevate to management as necessary
• Confer with customers, supervisors, contractors, or other personnel to exchange information, resolve problems, and upsell services.
• Confer with branch personnel to coordinate warehouse activities
• Ensures warehouse workspace and equipment in use meet safety standards
• Register moves in Mover Suite

• Support Warehouse Manager with training of warehouse personnel as needed
• Create and maintain commercial marketing pieces
• Support Sales team with commercial services as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Competent with Microsoft Teams.
• Proficient in Mover Suite, WISE, and Atlas Net

• 3+ years work experience
• Forklift Certified

• Assures that safety regulations are followed at all times
• Follows policies and procedures including infection control, universal precautions and exposure control plans when performing daily tasks.
• Reports hazardous conditions, accidents, and incidents to the immediate supervisor
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching
• Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, or chemicals
• Position will require occasional travel as directed by Terminal Manager
• Position will require significant overtime during peak or as projects demand
• Position has specific requirements with respect to vision, hearing, and speaking.
• Schedule will fluctuate based off commercial project demands
