JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enhance client relationships through award-winning service, follow-up, and successful project completion.
  • Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors, and instilling this philosophy in the project team.
  • Collaborate with Estimating and Purchasing during the initial setup of projects to ensure profitability, client satisfaction, and the selection of the best subcontractors for the job.
  • Mentor and coach project team members to develop their skills and capabilities by establishing and monitoring annual performance goals for each direct report.
  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities within the industry and with other service groups.
  • Develop and communicate contract terms with clients to the project team.
  • Define and communicate the project strategy clearly.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance with policies and procedures across projects.
  • Manage multiple projects and teams through all phases: pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services.
  • Identify potential risks to ongoing client operations and planned projects; develop plans to minimize and mitigate these risks.
  • Review and approve monthly project status reports prepared by architects and contractors.
  • Review and approve estimates and schedules for negotiated projects and hard bid jobs.
  • Supervise subcontract bidding and negotiations, ensuring adherence to protocols and subcontracting plans; approve all subcontracts and major material purchase orders.
  • Ensure adherence to scheduling procedures.
  • Maintain cost control in accordance with company protocols.
  • Lead and supervise project mobilization and setup, ensuring proper staffing and resource availability.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and oversee supervision personnel.
  • Review project budgets and financial reports.
  • Maintain positive cash flow and ensure timely progress payments.
  • Ensure management reports, including budgets and fee updates, are accurate and timely.
  • Assist clients in negotiating and drafting contracts for legal review and approval.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, architects, and constructors.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management or construction science.
    • 10+ years of experience in supervising or assisting with complex construction projects.
    • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple activities and teams efficiently.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands include traversing construction terrains, moving around construction sites, climbing ladders and stairs, conducting visual inspections for quality and safety, and performing jobsite walks to ensure project success and safety.
