About the RoleA growing general contractor specializing in ground‑up residential and multifamily construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee projects in the San Diego market. This role is ideal for a hands‑on field leader who can manage day‑to‑day jobsite operations while coordinating closely with project management and ownership to deliver high‑quality projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all on‑site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
- Lead daily field operations, including subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and sequencing
- Enforce safety protocols, quality control standards, and compliance with plans and specifications
- Manage site logistics, inspections, and material deliveries
- Coordinate with project managers to maintain schedules, budgets, and milestones
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in residential or multifamily construction
- Ground‑up project experience required (wood‑frame, podium, wrap, or mid‑rise preferred)
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
- Experience with coastal or urban construction environments a plus
- Ability to independently run a jobsite
