Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! This position is to be a Purchasing Representative for the COMNAVAIRPAC Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT). In this role you will manage the procurement and distribution of materials, including obtaining vendor quotes, processing requisitions, and verifying the accuracy of received goods for use on CVNs. This is a full-time position, located in San Diego, CA.

• Obtaining vendor quotes.
• Processing requisitions in the Supply Logistics Information Management Program (SLIMP).
• Processing requisitions in CostPoint.
• Ensuring material received by government is the correct material.
• Issuing material for use on CVNs.

• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• Experience generating material requisitions in the US Navy Supply system as a contractor, government employee or while serving in the US Navy.
• Experience using Relational Supply (R-Supply) and Organization maintenance management system (OMMS-NG).
• Experience researching, ordering and shipping material.
• Experience using the following logistics tools such as:
  Haystack, One Touch, and Fedlog.
• Maintaining material inventory and issuing material.
• Creating, maintain, verifying and filling required requisition forms, bills of laden, records and files.
• Reconciling invoices.
• Generating status reports on logistics activities and issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain a CAC badge and base / ship access and maintain them.

• One or more assignments onboard a US Navy Aircraft Carrier.
• US Navy Supply background as active‑duy Navy and / or as a contractor.
• A current or active DoD security clearance.

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
