Senior Estimator

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Flooring Estimator with strong ceramic tile estimating expertise to support pricing, bidding, and preconstruction activities for commercial interior finishes and flooring projects. This role requires deep knowledge of commercial floor covering scopes-including carpet, resilient, wood, and heavy ceramic/porcelain tile
—and the ability to produce accurate, timely, and competitive estimates while collaborating closely with project management, operations, and leadership. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of commercial estimating experience
, exceptional takeoff and scope analysis skills, and a proven ability to perform in a high bid-volume, high-detail environment

• Prepare detailed commercial flooring and ceramic tile estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and project-specific requirements
• Perform accurate plan takeoffs and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, details, and addenda
• Estimate heavy ceramic/porcelain tile scope, including floor and wall tile installations, patterns/layouts, setting materials and mortars, grout types, waterproofing systems and membranes, and required trims, edging, and accessory profiles
• Analyze bid documents and identify scope gaps, conflicts, exclusions, and risk items
• Participate in handoff meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimating to project execution
• Track bid activity, update estimating logs, and support follow-ups as needed
• Ensure estimates align with company standards

• 10+ years of commercial flooring estimating experience
• Strong ceramic/porcelain tile estimating background, including labor factors, setting materials, substrate prep, and detailing
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction documents, finish schedules, and specifications
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency with estimating workflows, spreadsheets, and digital takeoff tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Callidus estimating software experience (strong preference)
• Candidates should be confident learning quickly and operating at a high level with estimating platform
• Experience estimating for General Contractors, Property Managers, and End Users
