Senior Project Manager / Owner’s Representative (Contract) – California Projects

Location: San Diego, CA (Primary) with periodic travel to Middletown, CA and Pittsburg, CA

Job Type: Contract

Compensation: $80-100.00 hour for PM candidates depending on qualifications and interview performance.

PROVEN is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Owner’s Representative to support our client and their Real Estate & Facilities projects throughout California. This is a long‑term contract opportunity supporting high‑visibility corporate renovation, construction, and relocation initiatives.

The selected professional will serve as an extension of the Owner’s team and oversee all phases of project delivery including design management, construction administration, FF&E coordination, financial tracking, stakeholder communication, and contractor oversight.

  • Pittsburg, CA
Current Projects Include
  • Corporate tenant fit‑out and office relocation
  • Visitor center renovations
  • Commercial renovation and infrastructure projects
Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of commercial design and construction projects
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Review drawings, schedules, budgets, RFIs, and change orders
  • Maintain project reporting, forecasting, and financial tracking
  • Support construction administration and onsite oversight
  • Attend recurring project and financial meetings
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Support off‑hours and weekend construction activities as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or related field required
  • PMP Certification required or scheduled within six months
  • 5+ years managing commercial construction projects as an Owner’s Representative
  • Experience with tenant fit‑outs, renovations, and occupied facilities
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk products, and construction management platforms
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Additional Information
  • This is a contract role with the expected hours per week as 40+
  • Candidates should reside within commuting distance of San Diego
  • Travel to secondary California project locations will be required periodically
