Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who embodies our core values and has a strong background in preconstruction and estimating. The Project Manager will oversee project execution, coordinating all aspects to ensure timely and successful delivery. Responsibilities include managing project schedules, budgets, and resources; conducting on‑site inspections; and managing operations. The candidate will work in collaboration with our team to ensure quality outcomes. This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Oversee all phases of construction projects, including preconstruction planning, estimating, execution, and closeout. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Preconstruction & Estimating: Manage preconstruction activities, including budgeting, cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation. Collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to define project scope and deliver accurate estimates.
  • Self‑Performing Capabilities: Utilize our in‑house teams for painting, tile, and flooring to enhance project quality and efficiency. Coordinate with the team to ensure seamless integration and exceptional craftsmanship.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the company, clients, and stakeholders. Facilitate transparent and effective communication to keep all parties informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Management: Lead and inspire project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff. Foster a work environment characterized by respect, collaboration, and professional growth with diverse teams.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactively address and resolve project challenges. Implement effective solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and uphold high-quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in general contracting, with a focus on preconstruction and estimating.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction processes, estimating techniques, and project management software.
  • Experience working with self‑performing trades, particularly in painting, tile, and flooring.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
