Job Summary
The Residential Project Coordinator plays a key support role in delivering high-quality custom modular homes. This position assists clients throughout the design and construction process, ensuring projects stay on budget, meet established milestones, and maintain strong coordination between clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is organized, client-focused, and skilled at managing project details in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Client Design & Consultation- Assist clients in the home design process, including selection of materials, finishes, layouts, and custom features.
- Conduct client meetings to understand design preferences, lifestyle needs, project vision, and process updates.
- Present design options, mood boards, and material samples while guiding clients toward practical and aesthetically pleasing solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets in collaboration with clients, estimators, and senior management.
- Track project costs, identify potential budget variances, and recommend cost‑saving alternatives without compromising quality.
- Prepare accurate estimates, change orders, and cost reports.
- Create and update project schedules, ensuring all milestones (design approval, permitting, procurement, construction phases, and final walkthrough) are met on time.
- Monitor progress and proactively identify risks or delays.
- Coordinate inspections and approvals at critical project stages.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, structural engineers, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) engineers, civil engineers, landscape architects, interior designers, and subcontractors.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication across all project stakeholders.
- Organize and lead project meetings, including design reviews, progress updates, and issue resolution sessions.
- Manage documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, permits, and correspondence.
- Track material orders, deliveries, and lead times.
- Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance processes.
- Support quality control by conducting site visits and ensuring work meets design intent and client expectations.
- Help resolve issues that arise during design or construction phases.
- Maintain organized project files and records in project management software.
- 2+ years of experience in residential construction, design‑build, interior design coordination, or project coordination.
- Strong understanding of the home building process from design through construction.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, or Microsoft Project).
- Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and basic building codes.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time‑management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- Experience with CAD software or design tools (e.g., Sketch Up, Revit, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices or high‑end custom homes.
