Landscape Construction Lead
Landscape Construction Lead (Hands-On, Field Role)
$30–$40/hour (DOE) | Full-Time | San Diego County
Drab to Fab is hiring a Landscape Construction Lead to run jobs in the field and lead a crew on high-quality landscape installations.
This is a hands-on role —you'll be on-site daily, working alongside your crew while leading production and ensuring projects are built right.
What You'll Do
- Lead and work alongside a landscape construction crew
- Execute builds hands-on (grading, irrigation, planting, drainage)
- Set daily priorities and keep the crew on track
- Ensure quality, efficiency, and jobsite organization
- Troubleshoot issues in the field as they come up
- Coordinate with Project Manager on progress and needs
What This Role Is
- Field-based, on-site leadership
- Hands-on construction + crew leadership
- Fast-paced, production-focused
What This Role Is Not
- Not a desk job
- Not a project manager position
- Not primarily administrative
Requirements
- 5+ years of landscape construction experience
- Experience leading or running a crew
- Strong knowledge of:
- Irrigation (drip, spray, timers, wiring)
- Drainage and grading
- Planting and soil prep
- Ability to operate skid steer and mini excavator
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Physically able to perform outdoor construction work
Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Work Environment
- Outdoors on jobsites across San Diego County
- Physical, active work (lifting, digging, operating equipment)
- Team-oriented, production-driven environment
Pay & Benefits
- $30–$40/hour (depending on experience)
