Job Summary

The Construction Foreman performs the duties of the Construction Worker II (Lead) and simultaneously manages the production of multiple construction (repair) projects as well as in‑house labor. The Construction Foreman works hand‑in‑hand with the Superintendent and/or Operations Manager and is responsible for collaborating with subcontractors in determining scope of work and price negotiations. This position reports to the Operations Manager or Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees the work supervised by Superintendents generally outsourced to subcontractors and interfaces regularly with other departments as required.
  • Reports any communications with adjusters, customers, co‑workers, and/or contractors – relevant to scope of work, expectations, timelines.
  • Assists with negotiating pricing, confer, and obtain approval to proceed from Superintendent.
  • Oversees work performed by subcontractors to ensure work performed as agreed to and to customer satisfaction.
  • Develops means of tracking and monitoring subcontractor work; follow‑up regularly and update job records.
  • Provides detailed, written reports on daily progress to Superintendent for CRISP report.
  • Works with Project Directors and Superintendents to develop budgets and schedules for repair projects.
  • Gathers, reviews, and submits all documents and work orders in order to bill in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and updates job budgets and schedules in collaboration with Superintendent.
  • Schedules subcontractors to perform work on the jobs.
  • Assists Superintendent with evaluating subcontractor performance, report deficiencies, and address corrective actions.
  • Obtains permits through local agencies as necessary.
  • Supports the Company’s safe workplace policies and practices and promotes adherence.
Experience / Requirements
  • Experience in commercial construction performing supervisory or superintendent duties, specific to construction and/or restoration/mitigation loss.
  • OSHA 10 certified.
  • Hands‑on experience in defining projects budgets, including tracking/monitoring and reporting.
  • Requires a Valid Driver’s License, with driving record in good standing.
  • Industry related certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining strong customer relations, building on company reputation.
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) at all levels.
  • Possess excellent time management skills, can set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Computer experience in MS Outlook and other programs, can produce basic Excel and Word documents. (Xactimate is a plus)

  • Regulatory Requirements: Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Required PPE may include gloves, masks, goggles, hard hats, and safety footwear. All employees must wear PPE as required for their specific roles and job site conditions.
  • Ergonomic Practices: Practice ergonomic principles to prevent musculoskeletal disorders. This includes proper desk setup, using adjustable chairs, and maintaining good posture while seated.
