We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Construction Project Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth company in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of taking high-level objectives and converting them into actionable, measurable tasks. They will be responsible for managing a variety of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Current and upcoming projects are located throughout:
- San Diego County
- Greater Los Angeles Area
- Bay Area
- Santa Cruz County
- Sacramento Region
- Central Valley
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
- Prepare and negotiate the terms of all project agreements and ensure all parties understand both the scope and limitations of the contract.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including but not limited to, project schedule, budget, and work breakdown structure.
- Develop and maintain project financial reports to track the progress of the project against the budget.
- Manage and respond to project changes, risks, and quality control issues.
- Oversee the work of subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project.
- Directly communicate with clients to understand their needs and expectations and to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with OSHA 10 safety regulations.
- Effectively manage project change orders and RFIs.
- Coordinate and manage project submittals and ensure all documents are accurate and submitted on time.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Current OSHA 10 Certification is REQUIRED
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management.
- Proven experience in project estimation and scheduling.
- Proficiency in contract administration, change order management, RFI management, and submittal management.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations, including OSHA 10 safety regulations.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
