Field Engineer

Job Summary:

The Field Engineer is responsible for supporting construction projects by coordinating field activities, ensuring work is completed according to project specifications, safety standards, and schedules. This role acts as the liaison between the project management team, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure efficient project execution and quality workmanship.

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily construction operations.
• Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure work complies with engineering standards and project requirements.
• Perform site inspections to verify quality, safety, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and inspectors.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, field logs, progress reports, and documentation.
• Track project schedules and identify potential delays or issues.
• Assist with material procurement, delivery coordination, and inventory management.
• Support quality control activities, including inspections and punch list completion.
• Assist in resolving technical and field-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
• Review Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of construction or field engineering experience preferred (entry-level candidates may be considered).
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project) is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety
• First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
• Primarily based on active construction sites with occasional office work.
• May require extended hours, weekends, or travel depending on project needs.
• Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
