Senior Superintendent
A growing multifamily builder is seeking a Senior Superintendent to join its San Diego construction team. This role will lead field operations on large-scale, ground-up multifamily projects, working closely with project management and subcontractor teams from early construction through completion.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Superintendent with a deep background in multifamily construction who has successfully led complex projects and large field teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day field operations, planning, coordination, and scheduling
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate trades throughout all phases of construction
- Develop and maintain project schedules, short-term look-aheads, and site logistics plans
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and site activities
- Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes for constructability
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain communication across project teams
- Oversee project safety, quality control, and field productivity
- Coordinate inspections and resolve field and construction issues
- Work closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers to maintain schedule and project goals
- Maintain accurate daily reports, as-builts, and project documentation
Requirements
- 15+ years of building construction experience
- 5+ years leading all phases of ground-up multifamily construction
- Strong experience with Type III and Type IV multifamily projects
- Extensive knowledge of concrete, structural systems, building envelope, MEP systems, and construction sequencing
- Strong scheduling, planning, and subcontractor coordination experience
- Proven ability to lead large field teams and complex projects
- Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered
