Our client is a well-established construction company with a strong presence in the San Diego market, delivering complex commercial projects with a focus on quality, safety, collaboration, and long-term client relationships.
We are seeking an experienced Project Executive to provide executive-level leadership across major construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role will oversee project teams, drive financial performance, manage key client relationships, support project pursuits, and help expand the company’s presence within the San Diego construction market.
Candidates must live in San Diego and have established relationships within the local construction market.

- Serve as a key relationship leader for owners, architects, consultants, and stakeholders
- Support project pursuits, proposals, and client interviews
- Manage project financial performance, forecasting, cost control, and profitability
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Lead preconstruction strategy, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts
- Build and maintain relationships within the San Diego construction market
- Support business development and market expansion initiatives
- Coach and develop project management teams
- Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations
- Promote safety standards and company procedures
- 15+ years of progressive construction experience
- Experience as a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, Operations Leader, or similar role
- Strong relationships within the San Diego construction market
- Experience leading large, complex commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Experience with Lump Sum, GMP, Negotiated, Design-Build, and Hard Bid delivery methods
- Strong preconstruction, estimating, constructability, and value engineering experience
- Experience with public sector, healthcare, higher education, civic, municipal, or infrastructure projects preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and client management skills
- Ability to build and lead high-performing project teams
- Self-perform construction experience
- Established relationships with San Diego owners, developers, architects, and consultants
- Experience supporting business development and project pursuits
- Experience managing major institutional or public-sector projects
