The Work

As a Social Video Editor, you will be responsible for supporting different phases of our video production in addition to ideating alongside our Social Team to produce eye-catching content. We are looking for someone who loves to flex their creative muscles to make videos that bring a brand to life. We make people laugh, we make them cry. We entertain them to their core...

And then do it all over again. If you are a motivated self-starter eager to hit the ground running, solve problems, and execute project deliverables flawlessly, all while keeping our clients ecstatic at the work we deliver, then this is the role for you.

  • Lead editing across multiple short-form vertical video projects with strong creative and technical skills
  • Translate scripts and AVTs into polished edits that clearly capture brand tone and intent
  • Support and guide junior editors on project setup, organization, and creative decisions
  • Maintain consistency in pacing, tone, and branded storytelling across all deliverables
  • Manage DaVinci Resolve workflows, including color, audio, and cloud-based collaboration
  • Establish and uphold best practices for asset organization, timelines, and delivery
  • Stay current on platform trends, technical updates, and editing innovations
  • Offer creative solutions that improve storytelling, engagement, and final quality
  • Communicate clearly with producers and project leads to meet timelines and expectations
  • Oversee the workload of junior team members, assigning and reviewing tasks
  • Design and execute dynamic title treatments and text-based animations for short-form social content using After Effects and Resolve-based workflows
  • Apply trend-aware editing techniques informed by current social platform behaviors, formats, and audience expectations
  • Stay actively up to date on short-form social trends (Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, You Tube Shorts) and translate those trends into effective editorial decisions
  • Optimize pacing, structure, captions, and visual rhythm specifically for vertical, sound-off viewing
Requirements
  • 4-5 years of professional video editing experience
  • High proficiency in DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong ability to sync audio and video accurately
  • Sharp eye for pacing, flow, and visual aesthetics
  • Ability to interpret and apply creative direction and feedback
  • Comfortable managing a high volume of assets
  • Able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, specifically for title animation and motion-based text treatments
  • Strong understanding of short-form, vertical social editing conventions and trends
  • Experience editing content optimized for Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, and You Tube Shorts
