Position: Creative Director (Art Director)

Creative Director - On Site at the Corporate Office, San Diego, CA

We are looking for an energetic, forward thinking, resourceful candidate.
The Creative Director is responsible for leading the strategic vision, development, and execution of all visual, digital, and multimedia initiatives to support brand growth, marketing performance, and business objectives. This role oversees the full creative lifecycle from concept development and design to production, social media management, and final delivery ensuring brand consistency, technical accuracy, and high-quality output across all platforms. The Creative Director partners cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and executive leadership to translate business goals into compelling visual storytelling, manages company branding and digital presence.

The Creative Director position works out of our San Diego Corporate Office five days a week.
The candidate must be local to San Diego.
This is a Full-Time Position | Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate concepts into visuals:
    Work with clients or internal teams to understand project requirements, marketing goals, and target audiences.
  • Develop creative concepts:
    Create visual concepts, layouts, and designs for a variety of media, including websites, social media, advertisements, brochures, logos, packaging, and more.
  • Master design elements:
    Select and manipulate typography, color palettes, imagery, and visual hierarchy to create aesthetically pleasing and effective designs.
  • Produce drafts and mockups:
    Prepare rough drafts, sketches, or digital mockups to present design ideas to stakeholders for review. Developing and finalizing all art concepts as approved. This includes photoshopping images to meet company standards.
  • Company Branding & Presentations:
    Prepare, maintain and execute, company presentation, newsletters, capabilities book, new business pitches, shared folders, and all collateral requested by CONAM.
  • Corporate Website:
    Support the CONAM corporate website with design, updates, and maintenance.
  • Social Media Campaigns:
    Support the creation, delivery, and execution of all social media campaigns. This includes boosting posts, creating recruiting posts, and managing all CONAM internal social media pages such as Linked In, Meta and You Tube.
  • Approve final designs, layouts, and illustrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure creative work aligns with business goals.
  • Present design concepts and final work to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Utilize design software:
    Expertly use industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools like Figma or Sketch.
  • Manage the design process:
    Oversee the entire design lifecycle from initial concept to final production, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain brand consistency:
    Ensure all designs adhere to established brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive visual identity across all platforms.
  • Prepare files for production:
    Format and prepare final files for various outputs, whether it's for digital use (web, email, social media) or print (CMYK, bleed, resolution).
  • Execute all aspects of video production, including scouting locations, setting up lighting and audio, and operating cameras and other equipment.
  • Direct on-camera talent and manage production schedules to ensure shoots run efficiently.
  • Capture high-quality footage that meets professional standards for visual and audio clarity.
