What you'll be capturing

Real people having real moments — families, couples, kids, celebrations, spontaneous joy. Brunch vibes, daytime outings, seasonal occasions, food & beverage details, and the kind of wide-open views that stop the scroll. You'll shoot for repurposing: every clip and image should work hard across multiple campaigns, audiences, and formats.

Required:

• Shoots vertical-first, natively — not an afterthought crop
• Strong Reels/Tik Tok instinct: hooks, pacing, natural moments
• Delivers stabilized footage (gimbal or equivalent)
• Can follow a shot list AND capture the unscripted moments between takes
• Comfortable doing light talent direction to get natural, candid reactions
• Reliable, communicative, and organized with file delivery

Bonus:

• Experience with hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle brands
• Basic editing for Reels (or shoots with an editor in mind)
• Understanding of what makes content convert — not just look good

Contract, per-project. Paid competitively and negotiated based on experience. Recurring work for the right fit — we shoot quarterly at minimum and more frequently during peak season. San Diego Bay is your studio.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a brief, compensated test shoot. We'll give you a simple shot list and one hour on location. What we're evaluating isn't technical perfection — it's how you think, how you move, and whether your footage actually tells a story. If it's a good fit, we'll build from there.

• 2–3 examples of Reels or short-form video you've shot (not just edited)
