Call Center Representative

Description

Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization in San Diego, CA is seeking a compassionate and service-oriented Bilingual Spanish Call Center Representative to support community members, donors, and program participants. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume phone environment, communicates effectively in both Spanish and English, and is passionate about helping others access important services and resources. The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, and committed to delivering excellent service while supporting the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in both Spanish and English

+ Provide accurate, timely, and courteous support to clients, donors, and community members

+ Answer questions related to programs, services, appointments, events, and general organization information

+ Assist Spanish-speaking callers by clearly communicating available resources and next steps

+ Document call activity, customer interactions, and follow-up needs in internal systems

+ Route calls and inquiries to the appropriate department and ensure timely resolution

+ Support intake processes, appointment scheduling, and general administrative tasks

+ Maintain professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information

+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a positive and seamless service experience

+ Help create a welcoming and inclusive experience for diverse communities

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ 1+ years of call center, customer service, contact center, or client support experience preferred

+ Fluency in both Spanish and English, including verbal communication skills

+ Strong phone presence and ability to manage a high volume of calls professionally

+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM, phone, or ticketing systems preferred

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

+ High level of empathy, patience, and professionalism

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus

Preferred

Skills:

+ Experience working in a nonprofit, healthcare, social services, or community-based environment

+ Familiarity with intake coordination, appointment scheduling, or case-related support

+ Ability to de-escalate concerns and provide compassionate service

+ Passion for mission-driven work and serving diverse populations
