Customer Experience Specialist

Description We are looking for a compassionate Customer Experience Specialist to join a mission-driven non-profit organization serving the community. This contract position with the potential to become permanent is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, handling high-volume inbound inquiries, and guiding individuals to the services and support they need. The person in this role will deliver thoughtful assistance, maintain accurate records, and work closely with internal teams to create a positive and effective client experience.

Responsibilities:

- Manage incoming calls and messages, offering clear guidance, relevant information, and appropriate service referrals based on each client's needs.

- Record client conversations and case details promptly in web-based platforms and CRM tools to support accurate follow-up and reporting.

- Stay informed on community programs, organizational offerings, and eligibility guidelines so information shared with clients remains current and reliable.

- Partner with colleagues across departments to coordinate support and help resolve client concerns in a timely manner.

- Provide attentive, empathetic service during every interaction while maintaining quality standards and confidentiality expectations.

- Use call center and communication systems such as Avaya CMS, chat tools, and related software to handle inquiries efficiently.

- Assist with questions related to benefits, billing, and general service access while ensuring each response is clear and solution-focused. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or call center environment with regular responsibility for inbound calls.

- Associate's degree preferred; additional post-secondary education or equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with diverse populations.

- Proficiency with web-based applications, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Familiarity with call center technology and customer support systems such as Avaya CMS, Epic Software, or similar platforms is valuable.

- Educational background or work experience in public health, social work, psychology, sociology, criminology, or a related field is preferred.

- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred. Talent Match®
