As a Project Manager – Architecture at Palo, you will lead a portfolio of architectural projects, clients, and teams. Your primary mandate is to drive projects from concept through closeout with rigorous quality control, disciplined organization, and confident leadership. You will oversee multiple large-scale multifamily developments, co-living environments, and complex building conversions, ensuring technical excellence, budget discipline, and seamless execution across all phases.
In this role, you will bring strong architectural judgment, a commitment to execution, and a passion for “building a city” through thoughtful, well-delivered projects. Experience in planning or pre-design is valuable, but the core emphasis of this position is architectural project management, delivery, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Take direct responsibility for project budgeting, scheduling, and ongoing client communications.
- Develop fee proposals and resourcing matrices.
- Lead teams through complex decision-making, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
- Apply advanced design and technical leadership within an architectural project delivery context.
- Coordinate with architects and designers to develop schematic designs and present them to clients for feedback.
- Ensure adherence to local building codes and perform thorough code-related evaluations.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other specialized consultants to integrate all technical aspects seamlessly.
- Manage the preparation of accurate construction documents.
- Facilitate the bidding process, prepare bid documents, and assist in contractor selection.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to plans and specifications, handle change orders, and manage communication between contractors, clients, and the design team.
10+ years, licensure preferred. Significant experience in multi-family construction from start through completion is a must.
A plus, experience with urban design, site planning studies, or navigating complex zoning regulations. These skills may strengthen your ability to inform early project direction but are not required.
Qualifications- Expert knowledge of design, code and construction processes in multi-family residential
- Expert knowledge of multi-family construction types, I, III, V. Mass timber/CLT is a bonus.
- Diverse knowledge of architecture principles, practices and management methods
- Accuracy working with speed
- Expert skills in Revit and Bluebeam
- Authorized to work in U.S.
- Experience evaluating site feasibility such as land-use and financial viability.
- Ability to thoughtfully integrate early-phase insights into architectural project strategy.
- Familiarity with urban planning principles and their relationship to large-scale architectural work.
