Overview
With close supervision and mentorship, performs basic assignments receiving specific and detailed instruction as to tasks required and results expected. Integrated into a multi-disciplinary team so that they may participate in as much of the process as possible.
Responsibilities Project- Supports the project team to revise drawings, documentation and renderings with mentorship and detailed instructions regarding tasks and expected results
- Performs interior design assignments within given parameters alongside respective project team
- Assists with the preparation of presentations and performing basic analytical tasks for team/client review as needed
- Helps compile data and conducts research for the project team
- Collaborates with team members and may work on multiple projects
- Participates in office wide initiatives and/or intern specific projects with presentations to peer group
- Performs work in a manner that demonstrates an appreciation for the firm’s cultural norms, including a commitment to quality, innovation, learning and growth
- Becomes skilled in fostering and maintaining a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team
- Fosters awareness of the firm’s principles of ‘design excellence’ in the integration of responsible and sustainable design practice with the art of design
- Develops understanding of the financial implications of overhead and chargeable time, including accountability to project plan and planned utilization rate
- Fosters awareness of the importance of growing and maintaining client relationships and the basic concept of business development
Education and Experience
- Currently earning a professional degree from an Interior Design or related field program; accredited program preferred
- Entry-level emerging professional on the path to NCIDQ certification
Skills And Abilities
- Advanced –
expert‑level experience, knowledge or skills - Intermediate –
experience, knowledge or skills required to produce high‑quality solutions or work - Basic –
familiar with primary concepts or capabilities and can perform elementary functions - Intermediate skills in AI design tools, and virtual reality, such as VR headsets and Yulo required
- Basic skills in Rhino, Grasshopper, Twinmotion, Enscape or other visualization tools required; intermediate preferred
- Basic skills in Revit and Bluebeam required
- Basic knowledge of Dynamo required
- Basic skills in MS Office Suite required
- Basic skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign required
- Basic ability to communicate both verbally and in writing required
- Basic ability to work in team environment required
- Basic ability to effectively meet deadlines required
Base Salary Range: $20 to $23/hour for Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle and Washington DC locations only.
The estimate displayed represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in the above locations only. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
