Job Description - Senior Interior Designer (San Diego, CA)

We're a collective of rule-breakers and taste makers working across residential, hospitality, commercial, and product design.
The RoleWe're seeking a Senior Interior Designer who pairs a refined design sensibility with exceptional technical precision. This role sits at the intersection of creative vision and construction execution --- you'll shape beautiful, elevated interiors while producing clean, accurate, code-compliant construction documents in AutoCAD that keep our projects moving efficiently from concept to completion.
What You'll Do- Lead design development for high-end residential and commercial projects, from concept through construction administration
- Produce detailed, accurate construction drawing sets (floor plans, elevations, RCPs, millwork/detail drawings) using AutoCAD
- Develop space planning, FF&E selections, and finish/material schedules that reflect Studio H's design point of view
- Coordinate directly with architects, contractors, engineers, and trades to ensure design intent translates cleanly into buildable documents
- Present concepts and documentation to clients with polish and confidence
- Mentor and direct junior designers on both design and drafting standards
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, permitting requirements, and construction methods
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment
- 5+ years of interior design experience, ideally in high-end residential or hospitality
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for construction document production (non-negotiable)
- Working knowledge of Sketch Up, Revit, and/or Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- A strong aesthetic point of view balanced with meticulous technical accuracy
- Deep understanding of construction processes, building codes, and CD sets
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills
- A collaborative, detail-oriented, solutions-first mindset
$85,/year, DOE, plus benefits.
