Position description

The Shu Chien-Gene Lay Department of Bioengineering at UC San Diego invites applications for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18). Courses may include undergraduate lower- and upper‑division courses in the Department’s undergraduate majors, which include Bioengineering, Bioengineering/Biotechnology, Bioengineering/Bio Systems, and Bioengineering/Bioinformatics, as well as graduate degree programs. Qualifications Basic qualifications
  • PhD or advancement to candidacy in Bioengineering, a related Engineering or Health Sciences discipline.
  • Minimum of one quarter or semester teaching one or more courses at the undergraduate or graduate level, either as Instructor of Record or as a Teaching Assistant. Equivalent industry experience, such as presenting seminars or conducting trainings, will also be considered.
Preferred qualifications
  • PhD in Bioengineering.
