Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position Description

Faculty Positions in the Division of Rheumatology, Autoimmunity, & Inflammation at the Department of Medicine () are committed to academic excellence and are actively recruiting division faculty.

The selected candidates will be responsible for participating in scholarly activity and teaching medical and graduate students. They will also provide service to the University and the academic community commensurate with their career stage, and contribute to the maintenance of a collegial and collaborative academic environment.

Candidates with an MD or equivalent are expected to maintain professional competence by attending weekly outpatient adult clinics and participating in inpatient/outpatient consult services.

Non‑clinician candidates are expected to maintain external funding and high productivity in publishing peer‑reviewed literature.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience. The series descriptions are available for review at the following links:

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

  • Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, or a PhD in a health‑related field.
  • Candidates with an MD or equivalent who will have clinical duties must be board eligible or board certified in Rheumatology and must have, or be eligible for, a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
