Job SummaryWe are recruiting for Substitute/Limited Term Food Services Worker for the Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS) Program. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities- Under general supervision, the Food Service Worker prepares and serves food items to students and/or school staff.
- Maintains food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.
- Inventory food and supplies, stocks food, condiments and supplies to maintain adequate quantities and security of items.
- Involved in food preparation and general cleaning and upkeep of the kitchen.
- This posting is for substitute and/or limited-term positions.
- Valid Food Handlers Card issued by the San Diego County Department of Health.
- Candidates who do not hold a valid Food Service Handler Certification may qualify by successfully completing FSH certification with SDCOE within 10 days of employment.

Resume, copy of valid Food Service Handler Certification (if held). - Fingerprinting requirement: $77 upfront cost for substitute/limited-term employees, plus $77 if selected for a permanent position (taken out of first pay).

Comments And Other InformationIt is important to note to become a substitute/limited-term employee, there will be a fingerprinting requirement that currently costs $77 (this is an up‑front, out-of-pocket cost that must be paid in the form of a money order or cashier’s check). In addition, if you apply and are selected for a permanent position at any point there would be an additional $77 cost (currently) for fingerprinting as a permanent employee (taken out of your first regular paycheck).
