Overview

This position is open until filled with an initial application review to take place after March 4, 2026. This position is open to currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students of SDSU. The salary for this position is $17.75 per hour depending upon qualifications and is non-negotiable.

Function of the Unit

The mission of the SDSU Global Campus is to provide innovative, accessible, and impactful learning to a diverse global community. SDSU Global Campus serves as the principal University liaison with the greater San Diego community and provides a wide variety of traditional and nontraditional, credit and noncredit educational experiences designed to fit the life-style and expectations of working adults and other lifelong learners.

In addition, SDSU Global Campus provides a range of academic special programs for individuals and groups at various times, in various locations, and via various modalities throughout the year. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) provides educational opportunities to adults that are 50 and better with the pillars of volunteerism, community, membership, philanthropy, and learning.

Purpose of the Position

Under the general direction of the Director of Osher, this position provides administrative support for the Osher at SDSU program and its members. This position carries a medium level of responsibility with regard to the information available to they/them; therefore, the candidate’s success is contingent upon his/her ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality at all times.

Specific Duties (95%)
  • Write and edit documents
  • Research, interview, and/or gather information from a variety of sources
  • Adapt communications to a target audience
  • Work with a variety of individuals and teams to support operations and promotion of program
  • Assist with event planning and event support throughout each term
Other Duties as Assigned (5%)Minimum Required Education
  • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at SDSU
Preferred Experience
  • Equivalent to two years of responsible office experience, which provides the above knowledge and abilities.
