Pay Information:
Range 14 ($5,389.17) per month based on the current Classified salary schedule.
- New employees will begin on Step L ($5,389.17).
- Salary negotiation is not allowed.
- Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA.
- This position is FLSA Non-exempt (may accrue overtime).
- Excellent Benefits are provided to all Contract employees with assignments greater than, or equal to, 50% (0.50 FTE) and all eligible dependents.

Applications are currently being accepted for the position of Media Clerk at San Diego Mesa College Library Learning Resource Center. Hours are 40 hours per week. The selected candidate must be willing to adjust workdays/hours based on department needs.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of assigned supervisor, this position performs a variety of general clerical and media technical duties in a Library and Learning Resource Center. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service at circulation and help desk areas, aiding patrons with printing, managing the check-in/out process for library materials, offering guidance and directional support. Assist in planning and implementing systems for receiving, processing, and distributing instructional materials.
Operate, inventory, and conduct minor maintenance on media materials and equipment. Assist with data entry. Maintain a media collection, including storage, control, and upkeep of instructional materials to ensure accessibility and functionality. Train and provide work direction and guidance to student assistants and hourly personnel. Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and conducting basic orientations to groups of students. Prepare requisitions and correspondence.
Organize book placement, conduct shelf inspections, and preserve the cleanliness of the library collection, ensuring tidy and organized study areas. Ensure clean and orderly study spaces. Perform related duties as assigned.
