Position DescriptionThe Department of Urban Studies & Planning (DUSP) within the School of Social Sciences at the University of California, San Diego is seeking appointments at the Lecturer Academic Year (Unit 18‑Non‑Senate Faculty) level for the following undergraduate majors:
- Urban Studies and Planning
- Real Estate and Development
Responsibilities include effective instruction of students, teaching classes in accordance with course objectives and published schedules, advising students on academic matters, and maintaining an active interest in advances and current thinking in the subject area.

QualificationsBasic qualifications (required at time of application):
- ABD for PhD in urban studies or a related field; or a master’s degree in urban studies or a related field; or a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Completion of a PhD in urban studies or a related field.
