La Jolla Country Day School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered, and conceptually driven Middle School Mathematics Educator to join our team beginning in the 2026–2027 academic year. This role focuses on strengthening students’ computational fluency, deepening conceptual understanding, and building confidence in mathematical reasoning. The ideal candidate brings demonstrated expertise in middle grades mathematics instruction, a passion for fostering problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit that enhances our vibrant school community.

Why

Join La Jolla Country Day School?

At La Jolla Country Day School, our Middle School mathematics program aims to solidify computation skills, build self-confidence in mathematical abilities, and teach organizational habits demonstrated in student work. We believe the process of arriving at one’s answer is more important than the answer itself. Students are encouraged to explore the properties of numbers, develop modeling strategies, justify their thinking, and engage in meaningful mathematical discourse.

As a mission-driven community committed to dignity, equity, and inclusion, we value educators who cultivate curiosity, resilience, and analytical thinking. If you are inspired by guiding students through rich mathematical exploration and empowering them to become confident problem solvers, we would love to meet you.
