Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Provost, the Dean of the School of Education will oversee the academic and administrative leadership of the school, including mission alignment, program development, strategic planning, course scheduling, faculty recruitment, development and retention, budgeting, and resource stewardship. The Dean will serve as a strong advocate to enhance the profile, visibility, and effectiveness of the school by creating and strengthening partnerships with internal and external stakeholders as well as accrediting organizations.
In addition, the Dean will collaborate as part of the Provost's Council with the Vice-Provosts in carrying out assignments, policies and initiatives beyond the scope of the School.
Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 (actual salary offered is determined by the candidate's experience, education, skills, and other factors, including internal equity and university funding resources.)

Job Description Administrative Responsibilities- Provides strategic, academic, and operational leadership for the School, advancing its mission in alignment with the University's strategic priorities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use institutional data to inform decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Work with the Provost and CFO/VP of Finance to oversee fiscal planning and stewardship, including preparation and effective use of institutional data to prepare and monitor the annual budgets.
- Oversees administrative operations, including staffing plans, faculty workload oversight, adjunct appointments, and compensation processes.
- Foster an environment of excellence and innovation in faith integration, academic teaching, student services, research, and intellectual achievement of staff and faculty.
- Collaborate with Enrollment, Admissions and Marketing to promote the academic programs of the school and to ensure their success.
- Partner with Advancement on specific fundraising projects, building and cultivating alumni networks, and identifying grants and resources.
- Provides leadership for the academic portfolio of the School, ensuring program quality, relevance, and alignment with the University's priorities and educator workforce needs.
- Oversee current academic programs, ensuring that they maintain high quality and relevance, and develop new and vibrant programs in related disciplines in consultation with the Strategic Enrollment Planning Committee.
- Provide vision and leadership for interprofessional education to foster a collaborative learning environment among students within the various programs.
- Support academic programs, student services, and operations through periodic assessment and review to ensure regional and discipline‑specific compliance.
- Maintain a cooperative and collegial environment that enhances communication, trust, and productivity among faculty, administrative staff, and students.
- Cultivate a work and learning environment rooted in collaboration, life‑long learning, spiritual formation, and unity among staff and faculty across all SOE campuses and programs.
