Special Education Teacher

Job Summary

Job description

In collaboration with the grade level teams, the Special Education Teacher, develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities within the inclusive environment;
Evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows State mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP case-manager to assigned students.

Education-Based

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; and

REQUIRED:

Educational Specialist Credential in the area of mild/moderate or moderate/severe
Minimum of 1 years of experience in teaching; and
CPR Certification

support staff.

communicate effectively orally and in writing.
provide special education related supports based on best practices, principles, and

procedures for educating students in an inclusive environment.

report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the

school culture and focus.

implement relevant technology within the classroom curriculum and setting.
