Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA, for an Assistant Director. The Assistant Director will support the center's day-to-day management, ensuring high standards for early childhood care and education programs. Responsibilities include overseeing staff, maintaining compliance with licensing and safety regulations, promoting staff development, fostering communication with families, and ensuring operational efficiency. The role also involves assisting with curriculum implementation and enrollment management to maintain a thriving and enriching environment for children and their families.

Qualifications
  • Experience in early childhood education, classroom management, and child development practices
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Ability to ensure program compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills to engage with staff and families effectively
  • Proficiency in administrative duties, including enrollment management, staff coordination, and operational oversight
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and accreditation standards is highly advantageous
  • Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
