ART HISTORY:
Adjunct / Substitute Instructor POOL (college credit)
Location: District Wide
Position Type: Adjunct

Major Responsibilities- Primary duties are related to curriculum and teaching; assignments are divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department.
- Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Provide quality instruction, create and maintain an environment that encourages discussion of ideas, interests and issues.
- Be available to students outside of class.
- Master's in art history, history of art and architecture or visual culture/visual studies.
- OR Bachelor’s in art history and master’s in history.
- OR Master’s in art with an emphasis or concentration in art history.
- OR equivalent qualifications.
- Foreign degree holders must have coursework evaluated by a NACES or ACEI member professional association and submit a copy with the application.
- Applicants must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.
FLSA status: exempt (does not accrue overtime).
Applicants must submit official transcripts, a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam (renewed every 4 years), a Live Scan fingerprint clearance, and proof of eligibility to work in the United States prior to employment.
All applicants must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds as described above.
